New Social Game Play Format

Welcome to the Riverview Golf Course Men’s League, where competitive golf meets great camaraderie! Our league format is designed to provide a fun, challenging, and social environment for golfers of all levels. We offer a variety of game formats, weekly proximity prizes, and end-of-season payouts, making it an exciting season-long competition.

The 2023 season will run from May 4th to September 14th, with a mens league membership available to non-members for $350, providing 20 weeks of play with a cart. The league will consist of 10-man teams, with eight players competing each week (if all 10 show up they will all be able to golf but only 8 will be competing for weekly points, all golfers are eligible to win proximity prizes each week). You can either create your team or join the draft, which will be conducted by Riverview Golf Course during the last week of April.

All players are subject to an additional $50 league fee, which contributes to weekly proximity prizes and end-of-season payouts for 1st and 2nd place teams. The exact payout is still to be determined based on the number of teams. We are also allowing sponsorships at $500 per team which would cover the league fees for the team.

Format:

Each week, different game formats will be played, including singles match play, 2-man best ball, 2-man scramble, and 4-man scramble. There will be a total of 9 points available per night. Every week, teams will play against each other, with a shotgun start at 6:00 pm. Spare golfers will be able to play if players are absent (Guest Rate is $25.00 for 9 holes with a cart).

Proximity prizes will be available to be won every week (everyone in the league is eligible to win this as it comes from your league fees) , as well as additional side games that you can buy into each week(Skins, Deuce Pot, etc) 

All members will start with their own submitted handicap, The men’s league handicap will adjust based on previous rounds.

It is important to have at least 8 players per team each week to ensure participation points. The kitchen will offer a couple of meal options, and a beer cart will also be available on the course with drink specials.

To encourage more players to join the league, we will be hosting a sign-up and meet-and-greet event on April 13th at 6:00pm in the clubhouse and April 29th at 3:00pm also in the clubhouse. The league fees must be paid by April 29th as the draft will take place the next day.

You can send your team to mensnight@golfriverview.com All team members will be tentative until the member has paid league fees which can be done in the Pro Shop once the season opens, anyone not paid by April 29th following the meeting, will be dropped and new players drafted to fill the teams.
